Ochsner Health System New Orleans is seeking a BC/BE Urologist who specializes in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery to join our expanding team that currently employs one FPMRS practitioner. The successful candidate must have a urology background and be fellowship trained or board certified is FPMRS. This position will share general urology call and offer opportunities for teaching and clinical research. Both newly trained and practicing urologists are welcomed to apply. Salary offered will be commensurate with training and experience.
Ochsner’s Department of Urology currently includes 25 Urologists system wide that are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art medical and surgical care. Last year over 370 robotic procedures were performed in the department, and we are experiencing rapid growth this year. Our urological team provides comprehensive and specialized urologic medical and surgical care in the areas of adult and general urology, pediatric urology, urologic gynecology, and urological oncology, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, testicular cancer and surgical and non-surgical treatment of kidney stones. We offer highly sophisticated technologies such as robotic assisted surgery, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and laser therapies. Ochsner Main Campus has three robots in the OR in addition to a robot in the training lab. A 10,000 square foot Pelvic Floor Center is being built at the Women’s Pavilion, located at Ochsner Baptist.
