The Department of Urology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level. The opportunity exists for a junior or experienced Urologist to help build a 3 physician practice in a growing metropolitan area. Kenosha is a growing market comprised of 2 hospitals; St. Catherine’s Medical Center and Kenosha Medical Center which combined are the Froedtert South Campus. The growth of the Kenosha market along with an expanding community demand for access to urologic care have created a tremendous practice opportunity for general urology.
Demand for urologic care is significant with a steady referral stream generated by 23 primary care physicians in the system’s employed network. Froedtert South’s Urologists will be staff and/or faculty members of the MCW Department of Urology. As such they will have direct referral access to subspecialty services, the ability to bring complex cases to Froedtert Hospital for joint surgery and patient management and the opportunity to participate in educational conferences.
Initial contributions to MCW and departmental missions in the areas of patient care, teaching, clinical research, scholarly activities, and administration/service will be as follows:
Patient Care: Clinical activities will be primarily focused on clinic and hospital coverage at Froedtert South in Kenosha, WI and Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Research, Teaching, and Scholarly Activities: Faculty appointment will be offered but not required and options for resident education, research, and other academic options exist.
