| Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join a team of multi-disciplinary professionals as part of a full service Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Currently, our provider team includes 7 Full Time neonatologists, 2 per Diem Neonatologists, 6 Full Time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and two per diem NNPs. The ancillary staff that help care for every aspect of our neonates needs include Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Case Management, Lactation Specialists, Nutritionists, Respiratory Therapists and a March of Dimes support specialist. We are also proud of having 19 Pediatric medical subspecialists and 5 Pediatric surgical subspecialists on our medical staff: Surgery, Urology, ENT, Anesthesiology, Cardiology, and Pulmonology to name a few. |
LVHN has a 40-bed Level III-IV NICU at the Cedar Crest Site. We provide all neonatal services with the exception of cardiac surgery and ECMO. NNPs go to high-risk deliveries, do admissions and consults, go out on transports, round on NICU babies with the multi-disciplinary team, and do procedures along with the Attending Neonatologist who is in-house 24/7. The network records approximately 4,000 deliveries annually with a 10-bed LDR unit and a 10-bed perinatal unit. The group of 11 Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians provide in-house coverage 24/7 for our high-risk mothers. Because of the growth in our pediatric service line, a new pavilion for low risk Obstetrics and Newborn services is currently under construction on our Muhlenberg campus in Bethlehem, PA and is slated to open in July 2017. This new facility will have a 10bed Level II NICU.
