ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION, DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY, COLLEGE OF MEDICINE, UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO
The Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois at Chicago seeks to hire an outstanding early career scientist at the rank of Assistant Professor tenure-track. Candidates must have a PhD, and have shown potential for developing a sustainable independent research program, as evidenced by a career development award, strong publications or competitive grant funding. The field of research is not restricted; however, competitive candidates will have a research focus that fits well with the existing strengths in the Department and College of Medicine in terms of biological mechanisms, methodological approach or opportunities for translation in pathology practice. The Department currently has strengths in prostate cancer, carcinogenesis and chemoprevention, advanced tissue imaging and biomarker development.
