This position is located in the Division of Commissioned Personnel Support (DCPS), Office of Human Resources (OHR), Indian Health Service (IHS). DCPS is a diverse team of civilian and Commissioned Corps professionals who are dedicated to providing accurate, timely information and service on all Commissioned Corps matters affecting IHS. This position serves as a regional senior Human Resources Specialist/Regional Commissioned Corps Liaison, specializing in Commissioned Corps policies and programs unique to IHS. The incumbent serves as a consultant to program officials, commissioned officers, their dependents and survivors, on all Commissioned Corps matters such as staffing, career development, performance management, honor and service awards, discipline, adverse actions, standards of conduct, training, insurance, travel, details to tribal programs, and reduction-in-strength. This position reports to the Deputy Director, DCPS.
