ORGANIZAITONAL LOCATION: Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Services (IHS), Northern Plains Region, Great Plains Area. The Health Information Management (HIM) Director position is located at the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility in Belcourt, North Dakota. The primary purpose of this position is to implement effective and efficient procedures that provide complete, accurate, and accessible health records, ensuring departmental compliance with regulatory, licensing/accrediting and organization standards and in planning and designing patient information systems and coordinates all records and indices which relate to the care of the patient, assures effective procedures are established regarding patient confidentiality and release of information, and serves as a resource to staff members. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
