The Department of Surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (WFBMC) in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a faculty member at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to join our abdominal transplant program. Faculty rank and financial compensation is commensurate with experience and credentials. The applicant's main clinical focus should include kidney and pancreas transplantation, laparoscopic donor nephrectomy and multi-organ procurement.
The successful candidate should be able to perform kidney and pancreas transplants, laparoscopic donor nephrectomy and multi-organ procurement independently. In addition, the candidate will actively participate in the education of transplant surgery fellows and general surgery/urology residents.
WFBMC health system is comprised of North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Brenner Children's Hospital, and Wake Forest Health Sciences, which operates the University's School of Medicine and Piedmont Triad Research Park. The institution ranks in the top third in funding by the National Institutes of Health, is an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, is a designated Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, and is one of the largest donor hospitals in NC.

Candidates should be board certified/eligible, a graduate of an ASTS-approved transplant surgery fellowship program and eligible for an unrestricted State of North Carolina medical license.
