Position Summary: The Director of Clinical Research Operations is responsible for providing overall administrative leadership, business development and operational management of the clinical research service line and the associated quality and administrative functions of the clinical research activity. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the incumbent will oversee all aspects of research conducted at MHS including seeking out clinical trial opportunities, coordinating all study information and activities, working with physicians/clinicians and with external research companies to drive collaboration to financial stewardship of the MHS research program.
Also, The Director of Clinical Research Operations ensures adherence to MHS Research standard operating procedures, ICH/GCP guidelines, FDA and OHRP regulations, and any other additional state or local regulatory requirements or standards of practice. The position is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with investigators, clinicians, coordinators, administrators, patients and sponsor/CRO representatives. The Director will demonstrate strong project planning, leadership, negotiation and presentations skills as well as an ability to contribute practical solutions to problems.
* Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in clinical healthcare field (BSN, RPh) or healthcare Administration, business, science or related field. * Master's degree or higher preferred (PhD, MBA, Pharm.D., MSN) * Ten (10) years of current clinical research operations management experience, preferable in a hospital setting may substitute for master's education. * 5-8 years of healthcare management experience in a multi-specialty research and/or inpatient healthcare provider environment. * 5 years of progressively responsible management experience.
