This position is located in the Northern Plains Regional HR Office of the Indian Health Service, located in the Great Plains Area Office, and performs a variety of technical and administrative duties associated with recruitment, staffing, reduction in force, and other placement activities. The position will also supervise one HR Specialist and one HR Assistant. The duty station of this position will be in the Pine Ridge Service Unit located in Pine Ridge, SD. The IHS is required by law to give absolute preference to qualified applicants who meet the Secretary of the Interior's definition of Indian for appointment to vacancies within the IHS in accordance with established IHS policy as outlined in the Indian Health Manual Part 7, Chapter 3.
