Woodhull Hospital, affiliated with NYU School of Medicine, is seeking Urologist within the Surgery department for its busy practice in North Brooklyn.
Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center, a member of NYC Health + Hospitals and an affiliate of NYU Langone School of Medicine, is becoming a Center of Excellence in Urology. We have modernized our facilities with state of the art procedure rooms in our Minor Procedures Suite to accomplish local cystoscopies, cystoscopic bladder biopsies and fulgurations/stent extractions, transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsies, vasectomies, scrotal procedures and more, in addition to our traditional anesthesia-requiring operative procedures which services the full range of open and laparo-endoscopic Urology.
We have recently upgraded our operative procedural technology with bipolar resectoscopic equipment sufficient to perform TURPs and other cystoscopic procedures requiring electrosurgical resection or fulguration. We also offer functional urodynamic assessments with video capabilities if desired, again, in the outpatient setting.
To that end, we are seeking to expand by recruiting a skilled, ABU certified urologist capable of utilizing the full spectrum of the equipment possessed to answer any urologic question posed and treat any urologic issue within one’s spectrum of abilities.
A typical week involves the equivalent of 5 outpatient clinical sessions and 4 operative or procedural sessions per week with 1 session per week for administrative/academic time. A 1.0 FTE Urologist can anticipate providing 10 days of call (inclusive of 1 weekend) per month with any additional call taken for supplemental compensation. If this is of interest to you, please feel free to reach out with your Curriculum Vitae. We would love to meet you.
As an attending in the Department of Surgery, some benefits available to you are:
One week paid CME
24 vacation days
Full benefits including Medical, Dental, Prescription, Disability and 403B/457 participation
We offer a competitive compensation package and stimulating work environment. For immediate consideration, send your CV and cover letter to: Justine.firstname.lastname@example.org
