Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center are conducting a search to appoint the next Chair for the Department of Urology. The incoming Chair should be a board-certified medical urologist with 10+ years of experience in an academic setting. This physician executive should have significant, successful administrative leadership experience in an academic setting such as a program director, division chief, vice chair or chair. Experience in and knowledge about health care delivery models, health care economics and compensation is preferable as well as experience with community engagement and growing research programs. In this leadership role, the Chair will have responsibility for the clinical and academic activities of the department, strategic planning, faculty recruitment and retention, and faculty development/mentorship.
