Make over $550K your first year in a thriving arts community!
The first thing you’ll notice about Paducah is that it’s heavy on the arts and music.
That’s because for nearly two decades, Paducah’s award-winning Artist Relocation Program has served as a national model for cities looking to employ the arts to boost their economic development. By providing a haven for artists, Paducah has revitalized its downtown and nourished its performing arts community.
The second thing you’ll notice is that these artists need a strong general urologist—skills in pediatrics and female urology are a plus. Baptist Health offers quality and signing bonuses, loan repayment, and moving expenses. At this position, you’ll make over $550K your first year! And it’s sustainable!
Work with 3 other urologists in an office that connects to the physician-friendly hospital and have all modern equipment, including a daVinci Si and UroNav system (though robotics skills are not required). And your 7 days of call per month are all paid! Work a four- or five-day week—your schedule is flexible.
So go ahead and splurge on season tickets at the theater. The city’s appreciation for the stage inspires a full lineup at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center, where productions include the Tony Award-winning musical Spamalot, seasonal favorite A Christmas Carol, performances by the Paducah Symphony Orchestra, and a host of children’s plays.
Paducah’s artwork spills onto its streets. You’ll see it in the murals of the floodwalls that protect the city from the Ohio River, but don’t just drive by! These detailed murals are worthy of a long, slow stroll, attracting both visitors and locals who never tire of the visual depiction of their city’s history.
The opposite side of the floodwalls provides another spectacular view: barges pushing their cargo along the river. The picnic tables and Riverwalk provide a cheery and comfortable place for people to stroll and relax.
The city’s Noble Park gives residents room to roam and is a popular spot for everything from large family reunions to a solo fishing trip on the 5.5-acre lake stocked with catfish and rainbow trout. You’ll find several playgrounds, picnic areas, basketball and tennis courts, ball fields, an arts-and-crafts building, and a 4.5-mile jogging and cycling trail, all in a pleasing mix of sun and shade. The park’s most popular feature is perhaps its pool, with waterslides and a play area slopping gently to deeper waters for diving boards and lap swimming.
If the city of Paducah had chosen to stock its town with urologists rather than artists, you’d have been a top recruit. Call Marty at 512-422-6766 or send your CV to email@example.com to find out how you can live in Paducah without ever picking up a paint brush or strumming a guitar.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
