Manage MRI-Fusion prostate biopsy database and prostate cancer research team as well as participate in other urologic oncology research in kidney, bladder, and penile cancer, etc. Duties to including such tasks as manuscript writing, database maintenance, data analysis, IRB application writing and coordination, grant writing, coordination of research meetings, coordination and distribution of data for medical student and resident research projects, medical student mentorship. Opportunities to participate in interdisciplinary research collaboration in basic sciences as well as database outcomes research in multi-institutional collaborations.
Desired applicant characteristics: Detail oriented and able to manage multiple simultaneous projects. Effective communication with team members a must. Self-motivated and able to work independently to initiate, pursue, and complete research projects with periodic guidance.
This position is ideal for a candidate looking to strengthen their application before applying or re-applying to a Urology residency or fellowship.
