General Urologist- Join an Established National Leader- Practice in beautiful Knoxville, TN
We are seeking a General Urologist for several of our offices located around the Knoxville Metropolitan area. Located within an easy drive to the City and Mountains, Knoxville is a hidden gem offering you the chance to experience a city where mountains meet music, art meets adventure, and where culture meets cuisine.
Evaluates patients upon admission, reviewing personal medical history, and performing an appropriate physical exam.
Interprets and evaluates patient data for the purpose of determining management and treatment of patients. Consult with referring physician as appropriate.
Adjusts patient care plan by reviewing and monitoring treatments and therapy plans.
Administers or orders laboratory, radiological and diagnostic tests that will assist with the medical management; explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipates effects of treatments, and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
Prescribes, recommends, and regulates appropriate pharmacologic medicine.
Functions as a surgeon in the operating room, including pre and post-operative intervention, when necessary.
Documents appropriately as required, including, but not limited to: evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, billing documentation, treatment notes, and other reports as requested.
Graduation from an accredited Medical School. Doctor of Medicine degree with focus in Urology.
Certification required as a Physician granted by the American Board of Medical Specialists and American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
Licensure as a Physician in the state of Tennessee.
Valid DEA drug license and Tennessee controlled substance license required.
Fellowship and Residency training is preferred.
Current ACLS, BLS and CPR certification required.
KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES & SKILLS:
Current knowledge of acceptable and appropriate clinical practice, quality assurance, and patient management and care.
Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a health care team.
Excellent customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer software and database skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
