The Peoplesoft Developer - HCM, provides technical and consulting support for PeopleSoft applications within the Human Capital Management (HCM) system for the current release installed at MHS. The developer is responsible for full system life cycle support of PeopleSoft HCM including system design, analysis, planning, programming, development, testing, debugging and production support of the PeopleSoft HCM applications.
Support the current release of PeopleSoft HCM including Core HR, Payroll NA, Base Benefits and Employee Self Service.
Work with the Human Resources, Payroll, and Operations teams to understand business requirements and translate into Peoplesoft functional and technical specifications.
Work with IS team to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and recommend strategic solutions.
Liaise with vendors, banks, and other IT groups on various implementation activities and integration projects.
Participate in various project initiatives including General Ledger integration with FSCM.
Responsible for the design, development and delivery of various PeopleSoft application development components, including reports, interfaces, conversions, and implementation of custom solutions.
Conducts Unit testing and resolve issues found in testing.
At least 5 years’ experience with Peoplesoft HCM 9.2.
Expertise in the following Peoplesoft modules: Core HR, Payroll NA, Base Benefits and Employee Self Service.
Extensive experience with PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, Integration Broker, App Designer, SQR, PS Query, Component Interfaces, BI Publisher, and AWE.
Familiarity with Ruby and Unixshell scripting.
Understanding of California pay practices a plus.
Proven analytical problem solving and research abilities.
Experience with the current MHS Time and Attendance system a plus.
Experience in triaging, gathering substantial amounts of data, conducting analysis, independently running through a series of potential solutions, and presenting findings.
Demonstrates strong and effective oral and written communications for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Must be extremely organized with attention to detail and be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
