Alameda Health System is seeking a full time Urologist to join three Urologists and two midlevel providers in the Division of Urology. Hospital coverage includes the nationally acclaimed Level 1 Trauma Center, Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. Highland is the safety net hospital for Alameda County. Operative cases range from general Urology to trauma to complex oncologic and stone cases. This position allows the opportunity to teach UCSF General Surgery residents who rotate on service. Call coverage is 1 in 4. There are 6 weeks of paid time off, generous matching retirement plans, and the opportunity to participate in State and Federal Loan Forgiveness Programs.
With 169 inpatient beds, Highland Hospital is the largest campus of Alameda Health System. Highland houses a Level 1 regional trauma center, conducts medical and clinical teaching, and delivers primary, specialty, and multi-specialty care. In April of 2016, Highland opened a new 9-story, state-of-the-art Acute Care Tower.
Education: Doctor of Medicine and completion of accredited ACGME or Urology residency +/- additional Urology Fellowship
Required Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
Required Licenses: Possession of a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California, DEA license, California Fluoroscopy License
