East Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time Urologist to join three Urologists and two midlevel providers in the Division of Urology within Alameda Health System. The position is based at Highland Hospital, located in the San Francisco East Bay of Oakland, California. Highland is a nationally acclaimed Level 1 Trauma Center and is the safety net hospital for Alameda County. Operative cases range from general Urology to trauma to complex oncologic and stone cases. This position offers the opportunity to teach UCSF General Surgery residents who rotate on service. Call coverage is 1 in 4. There are 6 weeks of paid time off, generous matching retirement plans, and the opportunity to participate in State and Federal Loan Forgiveness Programs.
This position reports to the Chief of Urology under the direction of the Chair, Department of Surgery at Highland Hospital.
Diagnose and manage patients with urologic diseases in both the outpatient, surgical, and inpatient settings.
Delivering patient care consistent with the mission and values of the organization.
Teach and Supervise General Surgery Residents
Assist the Residency Leadership team in curriculum development in Urology
Serve as a professional role model for trainees with peers, patients, families and other members of the health care team.
Education: Doctor of Medicine and completion of accredited ACGME or Urology residency +/- additional Urology Fellowship
Required Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
Required Licenses: Possession of a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California, DEA license, California Fluoroscopy License
